​The Padow family has a long tradition in the deli, grocery and ham business.  Over eighty years ago in 1936 George Padow opened his first grocery and retail outlet in the historic Jackson Ward area of Richmond, Virginia.  The family business quickly became a household name in Richmond, and was known for their delicious food, reasonable prices, and exceptional customer service.​

A generation later, George’s sons Sidney and Eddie had the vision and determination to adapt the business to meet the ever changing needs and demands of its loyal customers.  In the 1980’s they decided to leave the grocery store format behind and established Padows Hams & Deli.  Today they are a leading supplier of premium quality hams, deli meats, custom sandwiches, homemade soups, peanuts and boxed lunches.
